Dazu Four Directions
‘Da’ refers to people with the ability to act and create; ‘Zu’ refers to a place where many people gather together; ‘Four Directions’ is derived from the Four Directions Street ( Sifang Street ), the most central public space in traditional Naxi towns and villages, serving as a hub for cultural, economic, and social activities.
达祖四方 是 PF 3 共建平台发起的一个以乡村为场域的实践项目，位于四川省凉山州泸沽湖达祖村。项目由 PF 3 联合 喜林苑、达祖森林农场合作社 及多方合作伙伴共同推进，探索当代乡村的可持续共建路径。
Dazu Four Directions is a rural-based practice project, located in Dazu Village by Lugu Lake, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Initiated by the PF 3 co-building platform, the project is jointly developed with Linden Center, the Dazu Forest Farm Cooperative, and a network of partners, exploring sustainable models of commoning in contemporary Chinese rural contexts.

达祖四方以 创造 与 共建 为核心方法，通过持续的合作经营与在地实践，连接达祖本地社群与来自各地、各有所长的共建者，逐步形成一个可生长的乡村社区形态。
Dazu Four Directions takes To Make and Commoning as its core methodologies. Through ongoing collaboration and rooted local practice, it brings together the Dazhu community and co-builders from different places and disciplines, growing a living, evolving rural community.

达祖四方共建中心是我们为达祖四方项目在地运作设立的基站，落位面向泸沽湖、背靠女神山的八斤家米线院。共建中心整合青年生活方式、在地体验和公共项目，持续为人、知识与资源的汇聚提供场所。
The Dazu Four Directions Commoning Hub is the on-site base for the Dazu Four Directions project, situated in the Bajin Family Rice Noodle Courtyard, facing Lugu Lake with the Goddess Mountain at its back. It brings together youth culture and lifestyle, local experience, and public initiatives, creating an open place where people, knowledge, and resources continuously meet, connect, and circulate.
2024年春天，通过 naze naze 俄亚项目，我们第一次来到达祖村。在接下来近两年的时间中，我们和多方合作伙伴在不同项目和活动中不断回到达祖村。在一次次的到访中，我们逐渐了解这片土地和生活在这里的人们，收获了很多真实而具体的经验。这些在地的共同经历和感动，构成了达祖四方的起点。
In the spring of 2024, through the naze naze Eya Project, we came to Dazu Village for the first time. Over the following nearly two years, together with multiple partners, we continued to return to Dazu through different projects and activities. Through these repeated visits, we gradually came to know the land and the people who live here, gaining many real and grounded experiences. These shared, place-based encounters and moments of connection became the starting point of Dazu Four Directions.
